Hope and Redemption Team
Jacob Brevard was born to a loving but dysfunctional family. He was the youngest of three siblings and the only boy. He played football and baseball until he was a teenager, then subjected himself to a life of gang banging. He was 14 when he was first arrested for possession of sales of marijuana. After spending about 3 hours in custody at the sub-station he was released to his mother. Subsequently, he was sentenced to probation.
The rest of his teenage years were troubled and he spent most of them incarcerated, in either Juvenile Hall, Camp, or the California Youth Authority. When he was 19 his life drastically changed. It was at this time that he was convicted of murder and sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. In all, he spent approximately 31 years of his life incarcerated.
Today, he is living his life as a productive member of society. He has an incredible job, where he goes back into prisons, but this time as a life coach helping people to enhance and develop their character, while becoming better people. He is focusing on building a new life for himself and sees his future as one of worthiness and righteousness.
